Busch Mills represents FBDC in Expanded Partnership with Catalyst Community Capital

Catalyst Community Capital and Florida Business Development Corp. Expand Partnership

Catalyst Community Capital, Inc., a 501 (c) 3 mission-based lender and Treasury Department certified Community Development Entity, and Florida Business Development Corp., an SBA Certified Development Company continue to grow their strategic partnership focused on expanding economic opportunity and promoting entrepreneurship in low-income and disadvantaged communities. To help facilitate the Catalyst’s growth, Florida Business Development has increased its investment in the organization, which will allow Catalyst to grow its loan portfolio and support the launch of CatalystCollege.org. a training and mentorship program for minority and mission-aligned real estate developers focused on affordable housing and community development.

“This additional investment from one of our long-time business partners, Florida Business Development Corp., shows their commitment to supporting entrepreneurship and will help Catalyst deliver flexible loans to small business owners that have a difficult time accessing capital from traditional sources, such as banks and credit unions,” stated Joseph Bonora, President of Catalyst.

“With economic development being FBDC’s core mission, we are continuously striving to increase our impact in our local communities. Catalyst Community Capital has a unique platform that allows them to serve the small businesses and entrepreneurs that are often an afterthought in the conventional credit markets. With Catalyst’s experience and accomplishments, I know this partnership will drastically improve our reach into those underserved communities,” stated Bill Habermeyer, President/CEO of Florida Business Development Corporation.
